Normally Gym and Mrs. Gym travel alone. However, the intrepid couple will be joined shortly in another voyage of discovery, by some Millennials. These aren't random Millennials, they are Millennials known to Gym and Mrs. Gym. In fact, these are the "Gym Millenialls". Two are direct descendents of Gym and Mrs. Gym and the third has a verbal contract to wed the eldest Gym child. As a whole we can and will refer to he them as the GXY grouping. Individually, they are known as our daughter Nicole, our son Chris and Nicole's fiance George.
We are all going to spend a week in Malta together. The transatlantic flights are all arranged and we have two nice rooms booked in the Westin Dragonara, located on Dragonara Point, in the town of St. Julian's, Malta. Gym and Mrs. Gym have not made a final decision on which room will be assigned to the GXY group. The decision will probably be made after Gym and Mrs. Gym have had a chance to review the layout, the view from each room and the amenities offered. Since the Baby Boomers are paying, they will get first choice. Then after Gym has had the bar fridge removed, the GXY Group will be able to swarm in to their room with their multi-app, handheld devices and set up shop.
Why Malta you might ask? If you've been following us you know we are on this "small island nation" kick. Malta is definitely a small island nation. It is also loaded with history and has both natural and man-made beauty. It is a member of the European Union and after Brexit it will be one of only two English speaking nations left in the EU, the other being Ireland. It has dozens of castles and churches to explore, some fantastic looking, clear azure water for snorkeling and numerous beaches for lounging. To top it all off, the GXY Group has learned that there is a tour of all the GOT (Game of Thrones) set locations on the island. Forget stuffy old historic tours when you can have a GOT tour! HBO would be proud.
The voyage is scheduled to begin on October 18th.
Stay tuned!
